A pole-top transformer, also known as a distribution transformer, is an electric utility transformer mounted on an electrical service pole. These transformers step down the voltage used in distribution lines to a lower level suitable for customers. Transformers are designed & manufactured with due care on health & safety aspects as per respective standards like IEEE, CSA, ANSI, IEC, NEMA.

Usage:
Pole-mounted transformers primarily serve urban and rural residential areas, as well as light commercial loads.
Features:
- Lifting lugs for easy installation.
- High-voltage porcelain bushings with eyebolt terminals.
- Low-voltage bushing insulators (fiberglass reinforced polyester or porcelain).
- Self-venting and resealing cover to prevent water collection and corrosion.
- Wound core with step-lap joints for efficiency and reduced noise.
